Hot off the accomplishment of two other Michael Dene restaurants in Naples, Chianina Steakhouse rapidly picks up the 'Best Of' awards that have gotten to be synonymous with the Michael's Restaurant Gathering. Chianina (professed "keeya-neena") is named after an antiquated type of steers from Focal Italy. An amazingly delightful Steak and Frites tidbit set the bar for what was yet to come. Between the four in our gathering, we requested the 8 oz. Petite Filet, Chianina Hamburger Burger and Housemade Piedemontese Corned Meat and imparted parcels between us. Everything was a staggering hit. The Petite Filet was super succulent and mouthwatering; the Hamburger Burger was a pleasant thick parcel with delectable lumps of bleu cheddar, marinated onions and strength pickles; and the Corned Meat sandwich was splendidly combined with rye bread, pickles and hot mustard. The majority of the breads at Chianina are house-heated from the table bread to the rye bread and burger buns. We were full from the suppers however couldn't avoid the Chocolate Cake with Coffee Whipped Cream and Caramel Sauce. Coffee whipped cream? Yum! A remark from Parker behind the bar wholes it up best - "It's decent to work at a restaurant where you don't need to stress over the nature of sustenance".
Chianina is found on the Naples Island area of second Road in Long Shoreline.
